Die Gründungsveranstaltung des VEREIN FÜR POLITISCHE KUNST findet im Rahmen von HERBERT FUCHS VERBALE 2 im Palais Kabelwerk in Wien vom 26. bis zum 28. August 2011 statt.

The foundation of VEREIN FÜR POLITISCHE KUNST (society for political art) takes place during HERBERT FUCHS VERBALE 2 at Palais Kabelwerk in Vienna, from August 26 to August 28 of 2011.

Der Verein definiert Politik im grundsätzlichen Sinn des Ortes für ein Miteinander, nicht in Auslegung als Parteien oder Ideologien, die Polis wird erst bei Platon zum Staat, und bleibt bis heute unverändert in ihrer Klassenteilung in Herrscher, Wächter und Beherrschte.

The society defines politics in its original meaning as a place for togetherness, not in definition as political party or ideology, the polis turns into state first with Platon,and is unchanged until today in its class-deviding in master, keeper and slave.

Ausgehend von der Prämisse, dass jede öffentliche Handlung eine politische darstellt, also auch die Vermeidung einer Aussage, fordert der „Verein für politische Kunst“ einen offenen Dialog zu führen über unser Dasein als Menschen in der Welt.

Starting with the premise, that every public action is in fact a political one, even the avoidance of statement, the “Verein für politische Kunst” calls for an open dialogue about our being-there as humans in the world.

Dazu gehört dann eine bildende Kunst, die klar verständlich ihr Anliegen formuliert, ohne Rücksicht auf den geschmacksbildenden Betrieb.

This demands a fine art, that does formulate its concerns in a clear and understandable way, without regard to the taste-building organized art world.

Die Boulevard-isierung der politischen Akteure sowie das unsinnige Festhalten an der platonischen Idee vom idealen Staat sind hier Thema.

Das Tag-Team Weber/Zaiser stellt auch das REISEBÜRO WIEN vor, Teil ihres langjährigen Projektes FUFI, ein virtueller Flughafen in der hohenloischen Provinz, die Leitidee: „Freiheit Und Freude Immerdar“, in Anlehnung an Karl Raimund Popper´s Hauptwerk „Die Offene Gesellschaft und ihre Feinde“.

Hierfür hat Heike Kelter Bilder von FUFI-Pilotinnen gemalt.

The Tag-Team of Weber/Zaiser presents REISEBÜRO WIEN, part of their years-long project FUFI, a virtual airport in the province of Hohenlohe, the leading idea: “Freedom and Joy forever”, with reference to Karl Raimund Popper´s stellar work ” The open Society and its Enemys”.

Heike Kelter did paint FUFI-pilotesses for this show.

Aus Los Angeles kommt ein Beitrag von Rae Threat zur Gender-diskussion, Manfred Peckl liefert einen österreichischen Blick aus Deutschland, der Unbekannte Künstler stellt aus, und das Werk “Der Himmelsstammtisch”, eine Co-Produktion von Felix Weber und Helmut Seiler, wird zum ersten Mal gezeigt, ein Gedächtnissbild für die verstorbenen Künstler der Vorgeneration.

From Los Angeles comes a contribution from Rae Threat to gender-politics, Manfred Peckl gives us an austrichian view from germany, the Unknown Artist is showing off, and the work “Der Himmelsstammtisch”, a collaboration between Felix Weber and Helmut Seiler is exhibited for the first time, a remembrance-painting for the artists of the previous generation.

- zur Eröffnung am 26. 08. um 17:30 wird es eine Performance geben,

- on opening reception on August 26th at 5:30 PM will be a performance.

und ein Konzert mit DA schliesst am 28. 08. um 20:00 das Programm der Verbale 2 ab.

(DA ist die beste Band der Welt mit der deutschen RAP-Legende SCHLOCKMASTER am Mikrofon.

DA spielt live Avantgarde-Rap mit Rock-und-Free-Jazz Instrumentarium sowie konsequent angewandter Elektronik.
